Galen was born in Littleton CO in 1967, married Melanie, has 3 kids ages 6-13. They spent several years in Phoenix, then moved to Cedar Rapids, IA. About the same time we moved to the St. Louis area, they did too. They live about 25 minutes from us. Lainie was born in St. Paul, MN in 1968. Married Nick, has 2 kids ages 6-9. They moved here about 6 years ago and live 11 minutes from us. We love having the kids and grandkids nearby. |

I went to Dordt College in Iowa, math major, for 2 years. Met Vern in math class, got married after my 2nd year, lived in Vermillion, SD while he finished his senior year, then moved to Berkeley, CA where we spent 1 1/2 years. Then to Littleton CO for about 3 years. Vern took a job with 3M late 1967 and we lived in the St. Paul, MN area about 10 years when he transferred to Springfield, MO. He got transferred back to St. Paul in 1990. When he retired in 1998 we moved to the St. Louis area.
Our daughter went to college in the Boston area so we made several enjoyable trips to New England, including her wedding in New Hampshire.
I worked before we had kids, did lots of volunteering while they were in school, rejoined the workforce part time after they grew up. Currently work 2 days for the local Library System in Human Resources.
We do a little travelling. I like to garden. We have been escaping winter for a couple weeks in Florida for several years, and will be heading there a week from today!!
